Critics Consensus

Joe Keery's magnetic screen presence can't disguise Spree's shallow critique of social media culture -- although that lack of depth may be precisely the point.

Not as smart as it could be, but an entertaining ride.

This is all very clever and it completely works, but it does require a certain amount of effort.

Spree is a pointed indictment of social media obsession, but it is often as shallow as the influencers it criticizes. Still, Joe Keery makes this a film worth watching.

Spree walks a fine line, but is able to find the balance, and stand out as a well crafted and inspired effort.

I mean.... its a pretty spot on character study. We all have known that person who just wants recognition so bad. I like it when they make me sympathize with the bad guy.

Wow, what a ride! I loved Joe Keery in this film, he was the perfect fit for the role. It's crazy to know that influencers everywhere are doing so much for likes and followers. It was a funny and scary movie!

Most of the movie is great in a so bad it’s good way but the ending I didn’t really like how Kurt acted but I do think Joe did a great job with this character and the day after I rented it I bought it and watched it again
