Critics Consensus

Sting should satisfy horror fans in the mood for a creature feature, even if the end results likely won't linger in the memory.

All in all, a diverting entertainment that, unlike so much contemporary horror, is prepared to have a good time. Fun for all the family. Well, all the family over 16.

It's goofy and fun, [but] it isn't particularly scary... unless you're particularly scared of spiders.

Efficiently contained and creepy, the picture loses a little of its gruesome potency when it ventures into heartfelt family relationship territory.

It’s easily forgettable and doesn’t do much with its creature.

A vintage effort that, without the crutches of nostalgia, manages to offer some scares and laughs for every family member. Creative filmmaking with real spark that's keenly aware of it's limitations. [Full review in Spanish]

I found Sting to be entertaining. I didn’t get too excited before seeing it, but I actually enjoyed it. It had what I thought were funny parts and yet still spooky. It wasn’t my favorite horror/scary movie, but it definitely kept my interest. During some movies, I get so bored, I end up on my cell and then wonder what happened in the movie, after it’s over. Not this time. I’d recommend, if you are in the mood for a little spook
