Adam J @Moviequoter9000 Sep 1, 2026 I love this movie. Yeah, there's a lot of dumb jokes, but in a movie made for kids, these jokes are hilarious. I love the "Dear Lloyd" reference and have even used it in a religious sermon. I still laugh at FATAL ERROR DRIVE B! I'm still not sure what Saruman is doing in this film, but I don't care. It's great. See more Marcy R @RT2026007 Feb 22, 2026 I watched this when I was younger and as silly as I was, I did not like this movie. I walked out of it after the dad’s object choice for catching the thieves See more Clif K @Sneakybeaver Feb 13, 2026 Clearly the reviews for this film have no idea the film was written for children. How adults are qualified to review a film outside its intended demographic is beyond me, and disappointing that they would turn children away from finding it with their negative reviews. However, as I was a child when I first saw this in the 90s and now my kids watch it, I believe this review to be fairly qualified. The stupids follows a plot that seems to accidentally keep unfolding as the characters continue stumbling through their misconceptions forward towards an actual plot. The scenes are actually very funny to children, which as I mentioned earlier are the targeted demographic of the film. The way the plot progresses accidentally really is a testament to how much the writers backtraced their own story board to fit a puzzle together that if you were to try to assemble would never fit together. This is how the film lives up to its name so well. Family movie 5/5. Lighten up, everyone. Silly but stupid-funny. See more Michael V @RT71213290 Jan 9, 2025 Loved this movie as a kid. Watched it as an adult. If you like slapstick and so-dumb-it's-clever humor, you'll love it.
