The climbing sequences are genuinely exhilarating: in monumental drone shots homing in on minuscule figures on rock faces and in blow-by-blow crag-side set pieces that demonstrate the film-makers know whereof they speak. Go to Full Review Joel Fisher Battle Royale With Cheese Oct 23, 2022
Summit Fever doesn’t live up to the excitement of its name and without somebody like Phillippe to hold the audience’s attention, they may not make it to the peak either. Go to Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Oct 20, 2022

Subtitles identify the routes which the climbers take on each occasion, and great attention is paid to accuracy, so climbers in the audience will have a lot to engage with. Go to Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com Oct 20, 2022

The storyline and the photography made this film more enjoyable than I expected. Go to Full Review Miyako Pleines Spectrum Culture Oct 20, 2022
A tonally challenged mountaineer film about two best friends who love the thrill of the climb, but ultimately end up taking on a lot more mountain than their ice picks can handle. Go to Full Review Alistair Lawrence Common Sense Media Oct 19, 2022

Summit Fever's writer-director Julian Gilbey does a capable job of ramping up the drama for several set pieces, despite some of them clearly being shot on a modest budget. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Koi P @hopepink Jan 6, 2026 Exciting film with stunning views. Interesting and likeable characters. See more Leonora P @RT59096137 Jun 2, 2025 It was overall an engaging mountain adventure film, quite nail-biting in parts. Only the romance scenes dragged a little. See more Andy F @RT81936104 Dec 15, 2024 A different type of mountain movie. It's everything wrong and right with today's world - utter selfishness, craving fame and yet with raw humanity underneath it. See more Mitch C @RT55212199 Aug 15, 2024 The incredible cinematography saves the film. But the acting is mediocre at best and the plot is so plodding you won't even blink when the first climber (predictably) falls. I'd rather watch the old movie Cliff Hangar again. Much better. See more KANGABOY Streetwear @Kangaboy Mar 23, 2024 A mountain covered in idiots. They should retitle this effort Carry On Up The Mountain. See more Le Fifre @RT51549083 Dec 28, 2023 such bad acting becomes funny See more Read all reviews
