Robert P @Superbad Oct 1, 2026 Swan Song = a *4* star Movie! See more Henry D @Henry_Domke Aug 30, 2026 Excellent. Mahershala Ali and Naomie Harris are very appealing, and the story about cloning is interesting and presented intelligently. My biggest complaint is the very slow pace, which hardly changes from beginning to end. The tone is similarly steady, sincere, loving and thoughtful, but also somber as it deals with terminal illness. There isn’t much variation in either pace or mood. The sets are especially attractive, with striking modern houses surrounded by lush Pacific Northwest landscapes. This is the question Benjamin Cleary asks in his debut feature-length science fiction film. Cameron faces a difficult choice: undergo a new experimental procedure for the sake of his family’s future or accept the inevitable. However, the consequences of that decision turn out to be far more complicated than he ever expected. This is a thoughtful story about sacrifice, human identity, and the search for meaning. The film’s minimalist approach to storytelling, together with Mahershala Ali’s layered performance, makes it much more than a sci-fi drama. It raises questions that stay with you long after the credits roll and invites you to search for the answers within yourself. Lots of interesting conversation after. See more Read all reviews
