Jason J @RT59805305 Jul 9, 2026 Johnny Knoxville gives a career defining performance with a great supporting cast. It's a formula you've seen a billion times, but they bring so much to the table making it more than worthwhile. Amazing, fun but also with lots of emotions. See more Russell H @RT85733992 Jun 29, 2026 Knoxville was great as a dramatic actor. I like everything he does. See more Krystle B @RT33533819 May 16, 2026 This movie was a waste of my life. The acting was terrible, mostly I guess because of the cast. It was a bunch of comedians and podcasters, yet it wasn't funny AT ALL. The story was severely lacking and worn out. It was just... Bleh. See more Gene M. @genemcgarrah Apr 19, 2026 Really funny. Loved the story watched multiple times already. See more Mel G @Lavendar_Honey Feb 22, 2026 I was not expecting to watch this movie and to shed a few tears. Johnny Knoxville’s performance was incredible in here. I didn’t even realize I was watching the movie for that long and was disappointed it ended. The only con imo is how it ended. I hope there’s some sort of sequel that shows how they all end up on their journey. See more Wade W. @wade_says Jan 18, 2026 Sweet Dreams is a story of an alcoholic who goes into rehab and tries to turn his life around. Johnny Knoxville is the main character and I’ve always personally liked his acting and style. In this one, he has a more dramatic role. It’s one of those movies about real people with real issues. It all feels genuine. There are many heartfelt moments. The guy just wants to get sober and reunite with his daughter. It feels like an indie film, which it basically is, I guess. It doesn’t overstay its welcome. You also have a good supporting cast with comedians/podcasters like Theo Von and Bobby Lee. They actually do a great job, adding some laughs. The stakes get high around the halfway point when a bunch of money is on the line and the boys play in a softball tournament. There’s a lot riding on them, but I won’t spoil it. The directing is actually pretty good and the pacing is solid. The editing is definitely not the greatest, as a few scenes had me confused, where two people are talking, but the editing is all over the place. Overall, I thought this was a heartfelt, genuine movie with heart. It’s lowkey an you can tell it’s low budget, but the characters were fun to watch and easy to cheer for. See more Read all reviews
