A little nuance, along with more disciplined editing, would have allowed the originality and humor to shine through.

I can’t tell if this movie is trying too hard or just doesn’t give a damn about anything, so it just sprays the horizon with bullets hoping to hit something, anything. It just flails in a rather dissatisfying manner.

It isn’t easy being a parodical musical comedy in a world where Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping exists. The shadow of that film looms large over this Mexican satire about a once-great boy band reuniting in a world that no longer has any need for them.
