Varley’s grip, her taut observation of nerve-wracking isolation, loosens and the film devolves into a blunt and clichéd consideration of family. The transition is awkward, and more cartoonish than moving, as the performers try to regain their footing.

Que genero complicado el de los aliens, parece difícil hacer buenas películas de terror (o al menos de susto) sobre este tema sin derraparla al final. Y The Astronaut entra exactamente en ese esquema, presenta una primera mitad que tranquilamente es suspenso paranormal pero sobre la parte final se va a full ciencia ficción. Es bueno el resultado? A mi parecer si pero hasta ahí nomas, es de esas entregas que según quien la vea le puede parecer interesante u horrible, no hay punto medio.
