Good acting and athletic direction let you forgive that none of this story is pippin’ hot fresh out of the oven. Sometimes you just want straightforward comfort food, and that’s what you’ll get along with a game Perlman.

Ron Perlman and Emma Ho give the best they can with what they’re working with. This is not an acting issue, but without a story or direction as filler, it’s not enough to fill the screen with meaningful stares and monosyllabic grunts.

As summer winds down, and you are overwhelmed by all of the “Barbieheimer” social media posts, I recommend taking the time to seek out “The Baker.” It “rises” to the occasion.

This thoroughly generic action thriller borrows its familiar elements from many sources, but the likable cast help keep things on track with their collective charm and charisma.

Overcooked and lacking flavor, this derivative vigilante thriller squanders a winning performance by Ron Perlman.

Leading man roles in movies have been rare in Perlman's career, and it's cool to see how effectively he brings this one more gravitas, and more warmth, than it really deserves.

At first I thought this movie was going to be slow., but it turned out to be a very well paced movie. It had action, tension, heart and some laughter. I really liked this movie. I didn’t want it to end.

It looks more exciting in the preview than it actually is. Don’t waste your money, wait for it on tv or see it on Tuesday when it costs $5.95.

Ron Perlman plays a good protagonist role. I liked this Action/Drama a lot, suspenseful action scenes and good music score. I gave this a 4 instead of 3.5 because I would definitely watch this movie again.
