They soon face the danger and threat of a newly released criminal (Rourke) and his crew who will do whatever it takes to retrieve the money -- including kidnap the agent's daughters. Stakes are high and lives are at risk in this head-to-head battle as the agent stops at nothing to protect his family against the money-hungry criminals.

A spectacularly atrocious, ostensible action thriller, "The Commando" is distinguished by an incompetence that extends even to locations.

A talky and lethargic home-invasion thriller, The Commando amounts to an inept crime drama stuffed with banal dialogue and irrelevant supporting characters to pad its feature-length running time.

Director Asif Akbar puts a lot of faith in our desire to see James and Johnny finally square off, but I must confess that if I wasn't professionally obligated to sit through a film until the credits, I probably wouldn't have bothered.

It’s hard to believe an actor like Mickey Rourke ended up in this film. It runs on cheap tricks, has no real ideas, and doesn’t even work as fun trash. When it’s over, you’re left staring at the screen, wondering what just happened — and not in a good way.

The hollow background sound, the awful script lines to include bad acting was definitely a forgettable experience.

The acting in this is god awful, a clear running theme in a lot of MJW movies unfortunately.

If I was given the option of cleaning up my local landfill all by myself or have to watch this movie again.. it would be a very hard choice! I noticed all of this director’s movies are extremely bad!!!
