Pete S @RT28548492 Sep 24, 2026 What a surprise this was. Highly entertaining from the brilliant opening song to the end - and we are well outside the age group it is probably aimed at. So may really good songs with great choreography. So much wonderful talent on display. There are also many really funny and clever lines throughout. Most importantly though, it is not cliche'd. Just when you think it is going to be predictable it pivots away from the well worn track. Congrats to all involved particularly the young stars and the writer and song writer. It is such a shame that because of legal disputes between the producers, director, star etc its whole launch was messed up and it bombed at the box office. It deserves a much better fate than that. The acting was good particularly given the number of actors on debut. Rebel did a wonderful job directing such a green cast, especially given it was her own debut as a director. Has potential as a cult movie. . See more Susie Q @RT11618517 Apr 21, 2026 Saw this yesterday. Hilarious! Fun and full of dancing and singing. Pokes sticks at so much pc woke nonsense, it's a laugh a minute. Good actors too. (Although I'd say Wilson NOT one the best, imho. But plenty of others who are terrific.) Highly recommend for a 'spirit lift'. PS. Perhaps not if one is easily 'offended'! See more James T @RT92131542 Apr 21, 2026 Rebel Wilson has once again demonstrated how egregiously mediocre she is with this dumpster fire that makes me embarrassed to be Australian. I wish this had stayed in legal limbo due to Rebel being sued, and never seen the light of day See more ROSS E @Emulsionstor Apr 15, 2026 Great fun , just go see it. See more Jed O @Jed19871 Apr 13, 2026 I really enjoyed this. It's uniquely Australian, and this was just so well done - 4-5 proper laugh out loud moments and a really enjoyable story line. Not often that you can get depth and comedy in a movie. I've only dropped half a star as I was not a huge fan of the dance scenes - some of them felt as an add on and not really necessary. But I must admit I am not a musical fan so could be just my own personal preference. Strongly recommend this movie - it's great. See more Read all reviews
