Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life 11 hrs ago Wow what a great movie. A little bit of everything is what you get from this movie. Horror, thriller and Action. This high body count movie centers around a man claiming to be a friend of their dead son Caleb. So when body start dropping Anna believes it's the new house guest who's responsible. Maika Monroe is fantastic and Dan Stevens is bloody brilliant. Music playing over every single scene got really tiresome, at some points you couldn’t understand the dialogue. The music itself wasn’t bad, but play it in small segments, less is more. I didn’t understand David’s motivations in the film. What was his mission, what was he looking to achieve? The daughter is the strong point of the movie. Weak as shit, alcoholic father. A mother you feel no connection with and not bothered whether she lives or dies, and a little brother (who is ok to be fair) who begins to build a bond with our antagonist who you find out to be a super soldier who was experimented on about 2/3 through the film. Don’t bother with this. The story is rubbish and you care very little about the characters involved. See more Griffith J @griffithxjohnson Sep 12, 2026 The people who say this is good are delusional liars because this is basically a Lifetime movie with no believable situations or character reactions. Almost awesome concepts but absolutely nothing worthwhile done with them. Such cringy acting from a solid cast, but wow they are bad in their early careers. Wingard does know how to shoot cool action scenes even if his story & characters are atrocious. Great establishing shots & a score/soundtrack that bumps but that just makes the tone even more confusing. See more Anthony H @Hardy Sep 3, 2026 This film was weird in a very interesting way. All of the character drama and the build-up was great in this movie, but once we got to the point of the story, it started to drag a bit. The music in this film is really good and added a surprising element to the film. All in all, this film kept me entertained, and I enjoyed it. See more Zachary S @Zach154 Sep 2, 2026 As a director Adam Wingard has yet to disappoint as I have loved every single film I’ve seen of his so far. Finally got around to see The Guest since Adam talked about his new film coming this weekend Onslaught being in the same universe. See more Read all reviews
