Critics Consensus

Human Centipede fans may find enough extreme body horror in the third installment to satisfy, but filmgoers of every other persuasion are strongly advised to stay far, far away from Final Sequence.

Six wants us to be horrified by the content of his movie, but it's the form that's more likely to provoke haemorrhage-inducing face palms.

Scenarios served up in the name of entertainment include castration, boiling-waterboarding and rape. Ultimately, the reason this film is unwatchable is the shouty, spitty overacting from Dieter Laser.

Queasy though it is to admit it, there is something compelling about its extreme horror.

I did find it really hilarious. It was pretty gross but I laughed out loud several times.

[Laser] provides an energy sorely lacking in the rest of the film, which limps through a series of tired prison rape jokes and casual racial stereotypes.

I had such high hopes for Human Centipede 3. I wanted to love it like I love the first two films, but instead I was simply not impressed.

The Human Centipede 3 is disturbing, disgusting, and far too excessive for me. Whatever the intention was, I never found the extreme material funny or entertaining. It crosses so many boundaries that the shock value completely overwhelms everything else, and the experience becomes more unpleasant than meaningful. After watching all three films, I honestly don't think any of them were worth the discomfort. I can understand that some viewers may appreciate extreme or transgressive horror, but this trilogy simply isn't for me. If you're asking whether I recommend it, my answer is easy: avoid all three.

This is definitely the most disgusting and sick movie in the franchise. Unlike its predecessors, it is truly a bad film; it is a grotesque dark comedy with no reason to exist. At least the previous two movies had a coherent script, but this is easily the worst movie in history. At least we're grateful that this sick saga has ended.

Tom Six is truly sinister to come up with these movies and not just one but three. Even if I tried my hardest to think about it I could not find anything nice to say about this movie. This movie’s idea is vile and I don’t think it adds anything helpful or entertaining to the movie industry. This whole human centipede concept is an inside thought not an outside one which you end up turning into a movie. I highly recommend not watching it

My grandson Martin recommended it for me and my wife Mary to watch, he told us it was a documentary about insects. I don’t think we’re going to watch another movie Martin recommends any time soon
