The action is clearer, the world feels larger and the supporting characters seem written as people rather than temporary pieces waiting to disappear. Philip Seymour Hoffman is an especially welcome presence, bringing intelligence and uncertainty to every scene. I also enjoyed the romantic triangle more than expected: one relationship exists as the image presented to the world, while the other feels more private and authentic, giving it a tension that reminded me of the Twilight saga. My main frustration is that the film stops just as everything becomes most compelling. The confusion may be intentional and it certainly made me want to continue, but the ending feels more like a commercial pause than a complete conclusion. Still, this is a clearer, richer and more engaging sequel. See more Deep P @RT09106213 Aug 1 MOTY 2013 One of the Best Hunger Games movies yet On praising for Lawrence, Hutcherson including Francis Lawrence direction very well shot during the scenes unlike what Gary Ross couldnt do in first film due shaky cameras which I'm not fan of at all. Overall its one of the best novel sequel movie of all time go watch it! And its praising for its writer from the Catching Fire book!
