The minute Joseph steps into this disenchanted forest, tripping over every tree root, you can sense the impending disaster, and the horror that Machoian’s movie is moving towards.

“The Integrity of Joseph Chambers” is a reasonably well-constructed non-hero’s journey that may resonate with you if you’re not already sick of movies set on anatomizing the Crisis of White Masculinity in These United States.

Machoian and his sound designer, Peter Albrechtsen, layer those natural sounds with occasional bursts of seemingly unnatural ones, mirroring Joseph’s increasingly unbalanced psyche and maximizing tension.

It asks more questions than it answers, and will likely frustrate those wanting a pat ending, but it raises interesting questions about the real meaning of masculinity.

[Clayne] Crawford's character is alternately empathetic and pathetic, and the film reinforces how utterly out of his depth he is through its evocative use of cinematography, sound design and score.

In The Integrity of Joseph Chambers, Crawford takes a break from his mainstream movie and TV roles to play Joe, a jovial family man whose behavior hints at feelings of inadequacy beneath the surface.

This is a good movie and Clayne’s performance is outstanding, It’s a bit slow though, and don’t expect a big bang of an ending.

Man has breakdown after hunting accident. The exchanges with the victim might have offered some development but this really goes nowhere in particular very very slowly.

Honestly, pure garbage. Not the cast or crew, good acting. Good cinematic style. The storyline is completely garbage. Why not just go to the cops, easy peasy, but no the story is exactly what no-one would do. Its similar to a poor horror when the teenagers run toward troubie instead of away. l can't believe the director took on such a completely garbage story. Wated my time.
