Stephen G. @patient1 Nov 30 This one starts out with a Horrorific incident, and then time passes and enough has been accomplished, most definitely not enough for those whom it matters to. The view of the land in the film is definitely Breathtaking, and at the same time, it is still very Terrifying to be in or lost within. I don't know how to explain this, yet the Ambiance of the atmosphere is Deafening and also a bit Overwhelming. As Heartbreaking as the film is, there are glimpses of Hope that poke through. It looks as if we're messing with something older than time, possibly, and even they aren't sure what's going on either. Such a bold tale and beyond engaging for Horror Folklore or Mythology fans, in so freaking engrossed with this tale. Such a crazy Heartbreaking end to the Madness that is this film, I must, absolutely must watch again. However, Danny is kidnapped by a serial-killer and vanishes. Twenty-five years later, Danny’s father Bill (David Edward-Robertson) convinces Claire (Sophia La Porta) to join him and his friend Liz (Vicki Hackett) to search a large moor to look for Danny’s body, since the killer will be released from prison and he wants to impact the public. Soon, Bill brings the medium Alex (Mark Peachey) and then his daughter Eleanor (Elizabeth Dormer-Phillips) to help in his search. But the moor is a dangerous with treacherous peat area. "The Moor" (2023) is a British with a creepy atmosphere in a moor. The gripping plot holds the attention of the viewer from the beginning. Unfortunately, the writer did not know how to conclude the mysterious story and ended with Bill insane and a consequent tragedy with the protagonist. My vote is four. The story centers around a missing boy... and boy, does it show you the moors! The film moves at a slower pace, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I personally found it engaging. It moves at a slow pace, until it doesn't, and then you are on the edge of your seat! Many times! A definite achievement that just oozes atmosphere. Check it out if you can. See more Lorrie F @RT16288412 Jul 9 (Includes spoilers) Very atmospheric, well-acted, and generally interesting, with a chilling prologue, despite an awful lot of repetition, fog, and blurry vision. The problem I had with this movie is that the last 3 minutes are an entirely different movie. Gone is any concern about the serial killer, and one character’s entire persona changes. (Although those of us who have watched zillions of horror movies know never to trust the nice guy.) All of a sudden we get demanding spirits and retribution. To me, a movie’s not a real success if only the last 3 minutes count. See more J. G @RT79366164 Jun 1 I absolutely loved this occult film, it’s slow but gripping, one of the best mystery film I have seen for a long time with an unexpected ending. I watched it late at night in the darkness and the atmosphere was incredible and it got scary and tense. It shouldn’t be classed as a horror film as horror watchers might be disappointed by this sort of film which is more of a chilling mystical thriller.
