gungi T @WhatWhere Oct 1, 2026 The Mummy is the strongest whenever it envisions the tension between the West and the Orient Other as a conflict that mediates the iffy interference of what should remain beyond the grip of the Egyptologists as exquisite collectors and experts to unveil the private chambers of the hidden and cloaked. As these scientists explore and map out their encroachment into those undisturbed tunnels in their frentic commodity quest, the native gentleman represents a counterpart that controls the mummy to seek revenge for the disturbing of the (un)dead. With Christopher Lee as a tall and imposing mummy - though somewhat unbothered in the make-up - and Peter Cushing as one of the victims hunted down, the two high-profiled actors have a tense back and forth. Nice surprise is the super hot Yvonne Furneaux, I enjoyed the shotgun blasting action scenes. See more Dallas H @RT53171010 May 25, 2025 I enjoy watching the Hammer films. Even though they are remakes of the Universal Monsters, these adaptations feel distinct. This version of Kharis appears gritty and dirty, making his look seem more realistic to me as a viewer.
