Life always seems complicated for good ol' Charlie Brown (Noah Schnapp), the boy who always tries his best against seemingly impossible odds. When the Little Red-Haired Girl moves into his neighborhood, Charlie Brown develops a crush on her. Meanwhile, his best friend Snoopy embarks on an epic adventure in a fantasy world. As a World War I flying ace, the lovable beagle pursues his nemesis, the Red Baron, while also trying to win the heart of a beautiful poodle named Fifi (Kristin Chenoweth).

Rendering the Red Baron-fighting Snoopy and way too many supporting characters in 3-D, and placing them in near-photo-realistic backgrounds, drains much of the charm from "The Peanuts Movie."

“The Peanuts Movie” clings to an almost-forgotten vision of childhood. It’s sad to think of that way, but you can’t help but wonder. For that reason alone the Peanuts are a precious commodity to be cherished.

I was ready to give this film a negative review. I was never the biggest fan of "The Peanuts". And this movie wasn't much more than a compilation of various comic strip runs pasted together. You can very much feel when one side quest ends and a new one begins. And as one who has read enough Sunday comics, I know all these punchlines already. But then the movie surprised me. There was a moment that it felt like the movie was going to go the typical Kids' Movie route. I could see exactly how it was going to play out. But they zigged when I thought they were going to zag and I give them a ton of credit for that decision. The decision felt character informed and a natural progression of what they were going for. Also, I do like this sort of Yoshi's Wooly World animation style.

Uma homenagem linda e cheia de nostalgia. Peanuts, O Filme consegue a proeza de modernizar o visual de Charlie Brown e Snoopy para o 3D sem perder um milésimo da inocência e do charme das tirinhas clássicas. É simples, reconfortante e aquece o coração de qualquer geração.
