The best parts of Morgan Neville & Jeff Malmberg’s “The Saint of Second Chances” are like hearing stories from a good friend over beers after a game.

"The Saint of Second Chances is a testament to prioritizing goofy, compassionate family entertainment over winning and profit, as so many associated with the Saints readily attest."

The Saint Of Second Chances is a fun film about a fun figure in the history of baseball, and how Mike Veeck’s own second chances paralleled the ones he gave others on the teams he owned.

This documentary was insightful, informative, historical, fun, heartwarming and generally a beautiful story of family, dreams, and baseball. I really enjoyed the story, feom beginning to end. It was an unexpected journey through time that made me smile, awe and tear up. It encompassed so much about what I love not only about baseball, but of the American spirit.

If you have Netflix, watch this. I have re-watched this; it is so pleasant a story of father and son and father and daughter.

I loved this documentary. I watched it on a plane and cried about 1/3 of the film. It was just beautiful and moving (disclaimer: I love baseball, so the game itself brings out emotions in me).
