Still, this techno-fiscal romance has its rewards. Go to Full Review David Ansen Newsweek Mar 6, 2018
It's nice to see a Hollywood movie that appreciates a mature female body for a change. And nice to see that The Thomas Crown Affair has survived its glossy, glam makeover so well. Go to Full Review Paul Tatara CNN.com Feb 16, 2018

The Thomas Crown Affair is disguised as a caper romance, but beneath that overpainting, it’s really yet another dreary exercise in anxious male competence porn. Go to Full Review Blake Howard 2UE That Movie Show Jan 18, 2015

COS M @CosMovies Aug 30, 2026 A Sexy, Stylish, Witty, Fun, Clever and Romantic Experience. It has not aged in 27 years. See more Henry D @Henry_Domke Aug 18, 2026 Perfect print, and the overall look and feel still seemed fresh rather than dated. The soundtrack was stylish, supportive, and always appropriate. The high-dollar cinematography kicked everything up a notch. Oddly, Pierce Brosnan was more attractive than Rene Russo, which made the romantic pairing feel a little off. The heist itself was fun, and since I love art, having so much of the story revolve around paintings and art museums made it even more enjoyable. See more Michael V @RT41146758 Jul 29, 2026 As a huge Brosnan fan, I'm ashamed it took me up until now to watch this. Very slick and clever movie. John McTiernan did an awesome job directing this. Satisfying mix of humor, tension, romance, and wit. The entire cast (beyond the established stars) really shined. See more Romas M @Romas Jun 6, 2026 Greetings from Lithuania. I've watched this movie originally in 2000 when it came out on DVD. The second rewatch was only in 2026 when picked up Blu Ray by 88 films. I really enjoy this movie due to excellent performances by Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo - especially by Rene - she was amazing in this movie. Directing by John McTiernan was very good in here - at running time 1 h 48 min this movie never draggs and is involving and entertaining throughout. Overall, The Thomas Crown Affair (1999 version) is a fun, entertaining, well paced, superbly acted charming heist film with romance. See more Jonah K @RT73758206 May 11, 2026 Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo bring new standards to classy; the acting is impeccable. The directing, locations, pacing, music and visuals are well-implemented. If you're a fan of spy thrillers it's a must see, or if you just like good movies it's the perfect movie to watch.
