Critics Consensus

The Uninvited is moody and reasonably involving, but suffers from predictable plot twists.

As in the original, the film slyly manipulates the audience's perspective, and a brilliantly filmed climactic 'reveal' marks this British duo as a pair to watch.

The Uninvited is a little too mild-mannered to please any but the most vanilla of horror fans.

When you see what happens, you’ll probably laugh, roll your eyes, or mutter, “Gimmie a break.” What you won’t do is recoil from terror

The Uninvited is a film structurally sound, linguistically crafted, and brilliantly executed.

I found this movie really good and it kept me on the edge of my seat up until the biggest plot twist. I found some jump scares while I was watching it with my sisters. It's been a long time since I last seen it, but I will probably still like it. I highly recommend it.

Generic American remake of a Japanese classic horror movie. Filled with lame jump scares and a twist that's so bad you would have thought it was written by a five year old. Very very bad movie.
