With the wedding of her younger sister (Amy Adams) fast approaching, Kat Ellis (Debra Messing) faces the undesirable prospect of traveling alone to London for the ceremony. While this is bad enough, Jeffrey (Jeremy Sheffield), the man who left her as they moved closer to marriage, happens to be the groom's best man. The only positive thing that can be said for The Wedding Date is that for some completely inexplicable reason it is set in England and so includes some lovely pastoral scenery and some interesting looking hats. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

D S @RT87203462 Aug 30, 2026 Main characters stumble through this movie like beautiful but half-checked-out y2k dolls. Really pretty to watch, especially now with films so flat and blah. The English backdrop is beautiful and all the Wealthy People Having Great Fun scenes were delightful. HowEVer, this plot BARELY makes sense and has about half a dozen dead ends; it gave frothy fanfic writing, or like a chicklit excerpt you’d read in Cosmo. The English cast were the most interesting and lively part of this movie. Overall, pretty leads, happy ending , at least one genuine guffaw guaranteed, not much else! See more Allyson F @ally.son09 Jun 18, 2026 the worst movie i have ever seen. main character had no depth whatsoever. everything in this movie is based on physical qualities, as if what you can offer is more important than who you are. no depth or morals are taught, its not even "a jolly good time". as someone who loves romcoms, i was not charmed. very disappointed. See more Steph D @RT16750516 Jun 18, 2026 I had hopes for the main couple but the resolution around the sister and ex is so far fetched, and so terrible to all involved it leaves you with a terrible taste in the mouth. That was a crucial plot point. It dropped the movie quality from 3 stars to a 1 star. See more Trista M. @RT97283797 Jun 5, 2026 Too predictable. I however, am simply not a fan of the “fake relationship” trope. With this film in particular, the chemistry felt rushed. See more Meri D. @merid Jun 4, 2026 Perfectly charming romcom. Just my cup of tea ignore the critics. They always hate romcoms. See more Michael C @Letgoforfun Dec 18, 2025 A movie to make you feel good when you're down. Ignore the critics calling it shop-worn cliche. Messing and Mulroney in lead roles were very likeable and Amy Adams was great in her role as well. Most important is it was fun for a romantic comedy and I cared about the characters. See more Read all reviews
