All I could think while watching Zombeavers was: what the hell am I watching? This movie was something else. It’s clearly supposed to be a comedic horror film—because there’s no way anyone involved thought this could be taken seriously. The writing is awful, the plot is paper-thin, and the beavers? Oh, don’t get me started. They look like possessed puppets being shaken by someone in a green screen suit. Absolutely ridiculous. The first 30 minutes are basically just a group of girls on vacation, then the boyfriends randomly show up, there’s some topless scenes, a bunch of sex, and no real substance. It felt like someone wrote a parody script as a joke and then just decided to actually shoot it. Strangely enough, the production quality wasn’t terrible. The lighting, cinematography, and sound were surprisingly solid. Even the poster was creative and well done. But it’s almost like all the effort went into everything except the script… and the actual beavers, which looked like they came from a rejected Chuck E. Cheese horror spin-off. This isn’t a movie you watch for serious horror—or even good horror-comedy. It’s a “laugh because you can’t believe it exists” type of movie. So hey, props to them for making it look better than it actually was. But the script? The story? The beavers? The plot is dumber than it sounds (yes, zombie beavers), the acting is like a high school drama class gone wrong, and the budget looks like it was spent entirely on fake blood and rubber puppets from a discount Halloween store. I only made it through because I was high on edibles, and even then, I wasn’t sure if I was watching a movie or having a low-grade fever dream. The dialogue? Cringe. The scares? Laughable. The beavers? More like rejected Muppets dipped in ketchup. That said, there was one saving grace: a pair of crooked nipples that stole the spotlight. Don’t ask how or why — just know they were the most memorable part of the film. Honestly, they deserved their own spin-off. Final verdict? Zombeavers is so bad it’s... still bad. See more Brad F Jun 13 This movie is tough for me to rate a 3 out of 5, but there’s no denying I had fun watching this film. Is this anything you can really recommend to anyone who likes film…. No. But did this movie make me cry laughing as I shook my head simultaneously at the absurdity of what I was seeing….. Yes. My review might not mean much, but this is the quintessential good “bad movie”. The silliness alone of this movie is worth a watch, but the movie strangely doesn’t hit Sharknado or worse territory.
