It has enough comedy, enough banter, enough bickering, and enough drunkenness to keep you entertained throughout. I may be biased given my fondness for Doris Day (alongside Rod Taylor no less), but I’m genuinely convinced those who hate on Do Not Disturb with such exaggeration are only burdened by the herd mentality subconsciously policing their judgment. Day’s character was pretty fun in everything she did, including being drunk, jealous, and playful, and it was notably funny to see her being asked whether she knew Rock Hudson or Cary Grant. While it tries very hard to ride on the coattails of such classics as Pillow Talk and Move Over Darling, the script is severely lacking of originality or wit. It feels forced and doesn't get off the merry-go-round long enough for you to care about the couple whose marriage is at stake.
