Angie Han The Hollywood Reporter Jul 30
If The Bombing of Pan Am 103 struggles to find the specific humanity of its generic characters, the impulse behind creating them in the first place -- to commemorate those departed, and those who cared about them -- cannot help but feel touchingly humane. Go to Full Review

While affecting, this sombre series lacks drama or tension. It has little to offer beyond recognition of pain and tragedy. Perhaps that’s enough. Go to Full Review

This series not only focuses on the tragedy and its aftermath, but also sensitively portrays the victims and investigators involved. Go to Full Review

The show is perhaps a touch too reverential in its approach that it fails to unearth a stronger response to the whole event. In the final two episodes, as the search for those responsible gets heated, the miniseries increases the urgency and emotion. Go to Full Review

...if you're interested in a well-researched, procedural deep dive into how one of the biggest terrorism investigations unfolded, 'The Bombing of Pan Am' 103 stays firmly on course. Nothing more, nothing less. Go to Full Review

It doesn’t feel like Lee and his writers are at all trying to sensationalize the investigation. Heck, he doesn’t even play on viewers’ emotions when it comes to the bombing of the flight. Go to Full Review

Magnus A @RT19500319 2h If you're old enough you know the story, that conditions a drama of this type. The story is well told, from an unusual and convincing angle. The casting seemed excellent to me and the acting was all round great. Quality script and first class direction. Absorbing, entertaining, faintly nostalgic, excellent. See more 2shot2kills T @Mohammed346 3d This is a disgusting show. I'm very sympathetic to the real accident and the real families, but this show is absolutely failure. Failure choosing actors, failure with production, the director, I don't know what they are thinking. See more Carlo C @ccarmone 3d If you liked Chernobyl or Oppenheim, you will like this series. It's a slow build but a very well-constructed series that takes you back to the painstaking details of the event, and it shows just how complex it is to solve these crimes. I love these kinds of series, but most don't have the patience to enjoy how they move. I say, job well done! See more William F @RT08918404 4d Realistic and moving reconstruction of the long and painstaking aftermath of the Lockerbie disaster. Good acting, good combination of the human element with the detective work, powerful message of the whole See more Rick G @RT42178836 4d For some it may seem to lack the action and tension of many movies but this cast makes it work and the real take on this movie is what was learned during this tragedy and how things were improved following the mistakes made during this incident. The impact this had on the families involved and 1st responders in how they should be treated during future disasters is profound and the cooperation between agencies spanning numerous countries is a good example of how countries can work together for a common cause and do what is right. I recommend subtitles for this one due to the heavy Scottish and English accents but this cast is exceptional. See more Read all reviews
