Tony A. @RT86154896 4d The story is decent, the creature design was effective and nicely executed for the most part. This film is a low budget “new film maker” project that is worth a watch. The beginning suffers a lot in pacing as if the actors and film makers were going through the motions to get to the fun parts. There are scenes where actors appear bored and others where they are visibly trying to remember their lines. This gets less obvious with story progression. The editing and direction also did the actors no favors, as it left in awkward pauses and left too much space between the different sides of the conversation. The camera work was decent, though unnecessarily shaky to attempt effects that would have been better handled in editing. Also, some of the actors seemed on the verge of laughing during their frightened parts, breaking down immersion. The film shows promise, but could have benefitted from more time and effort.
