You will not find these authentic stories in mainstream movie offerings and for that reason alone it is worth entering into their world if for no other reason than to bear witness. See more 09/26/2019 The scenes after the first 15 minutes were nothing but gruesome. It was interesting for that initial quarter of an hour, but afterward there was little story arc worth enduring the horrid imagery for. The movie became focused on the slow burn of the protagonist's descent into guilt driven insanity - an insanity which consisted in paranoia, self harm and starvation, but the audience was never granted refuge from the disgusting sight of Adiits'ii pussy, swollen face because he just would not die - despite a sincere want for his life to end, so our suffering could do the same. I would say the only redeeming quality of the movie was the inclusion of Haida mythology and the slim scenes with the remainder of the tribe, but even those were undermined by the majority of the unbearable of the film. See more 07/20/2019 As there is no review for this, I would like to say that I enjoyed watching the culture of this small tribe in the Queen Charlotte Islands off the coast of B.C.; their artefacts, totems, and carvings are just beautiful, Apparently, never has a movie been made featuring their own language dialects.
