With an empty script, dreadful performances, and an embarrassingly shallow sense of “romance,” this film collapses under its own mediocrity. She’s supposed to be the emotional anchor, yet she shows almost no range. In sad scenes, she looks blank; in romantic ones, she feels awkward. Every time the film needs her to carry the story, she falls flat, draining the drama of any impact. Instead of holding the film together, her performance makes it collapse. The Vietnamese lead, Khangan, delivers a performance so flat and unconvincing that every scene meant to carry emotional weight instead feels lifeless. Rather than grounding the story, she exposes just how shallow and forced the entire film is. In a movie already drowning in clichés, this lack of believable acting makes the romance not touching, but intolerable.
