For many years, Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and her father, Harry (Sean Bean), have been on the run from dangerous forces she does not understand. Heather continues to be plagued by terrifying nightmares and frightened by her father's disappearance, and on the eve of her 18th birthday, she discovers that she is not who she thinks she is. The end scene on the Merry-go-round, Alyssa looks like a damn Animaniac. Mostly poor CGI, and there is no continuity between either the games or the previous movie.

Como adaptación queda bastante en deuda, pero como película funciona, y eso ya es un mérito. Esta versión cinematográfica de Silent Hill intenta reinventarse respecto al material original del videojuego de Konami, pero da la sensación de que se sabotea a sí misma al eliminar o modificar elementos clave que sostenían la trama original. Todo parece responder a la necesidad de encajar con su precuela cinematográfica, lo que termina alejándola del espíritu del juego y acercándola más a una reimaginación que a una adaptación fiel.

Synopsis
