There is really not a huge difference between the Donner and Lester versions. The pacing might be more brisk in the Lester version but not much else points to one over the other. The Donner version has the better Superman reveals himself to Lois sequence and I thought the Eiffel Tower scene was fun. What is true is this is my favorite superhero movie of all time no matter the version and Christopher Reeve should have received an Oscar nomination.

The classic OG Superman 2 and this is the real Superman 2 not the theatre cut. This is what Superman 2 was meant to be. One of the best storytelling i ever seen. Dooners vision came true and he made one of the greatest classic OG Superman of all time. It’s truly astonishingly astounding even that Superman 2025 movie borrowed elements from Superman duology.
