A large part of the problem is the casting of Chris Evans as the leader of the Israeli spy ring that set up the hotel. He is most known for playing Captain America and seems not to have put aside his shield for this film.

Really moving true story about Israeli soldiers saving Ethiopian Jews and bringing them to Israel as refugees. Great acting, well worth a watch and learnt about the ethnic cleansing that went on in Ethiopia which I didn’t know happened.

The critics have seen too many rescue films. They've tired of so-called true stories and thus give this film a rotten rating. And that is sad, because it is true. At times it's edge-of-the-seat scenes making it very watchable. I recommend it. Verily.
