My Journey I @Filmmaker1111 6 days ago Layers of Lies is a groundbreaking Finnish-Iranian action film and a achievement for independent action cinema. As one of the first films of its kind to bring Finnish and Iranian filmmaking together on this scale, it opens a new door for action cinema from the region. What makes the film especially compelling is the story behind it. Filmmaker and lead actor Ramin Sohrab spent years bringing Layers of Lies to life, taking on the roles of writer, director, producer and performer while building an ambitious international action film largely through his own determination. The physical filmmaking, locations and stunt work give the movie an authenticity that is increasingly rare in modern action cinema. The journey behind the film has now led Sohrab in a completely different direction. His upcoming documentary, My Journey into Consciousness, explores consciousness, healing and human connection while reflecting on the personal transformation that followed his experience making Layers of Lies.
