MEANDERING SCARS follows Erika Bogan -- a mother, wheelchair athlete, former Ms. Wheelchair America 2010, and domestic violence survivor -- as she attempts to accomplish what only a handful of wheelchair users have ever done: climb to the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Her purpose: to save lives by raising awareness about suicide and suicidal ideation within the disabled community, all while honoring her friends and family lost to suicide.

This is an inspirational story of perseverance, courage, and the enduring power of love. It is a remarkable reminder that even in life’s darkest moments, hope can prevail. The film beautifully illustrates that love truly conquers all, while faith provides the strength to keep moving forward when the path seems impossible. Powerful, heartfelt, and deeply moving, this is a story that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

This is a remarkable story of love, courage, and determination. I truly believe the film will save lives in showing people that there is vibrant life ahead as they struggle through traumas and wrestle with personal demons. The world is a better place with you in it. The summiting of Mount Kilimanjaro as a paralyzed wheelchair athlete is a remarkable feat, made even more moving when the struggles and the ordeals surrounding this accomplishment are shown.
