"Patrice” resists what some might accuse of “inspiration porn,” in which the very fact of having a disability is cause for audiences to cheer. Yet, its hero, her fella and her loving cadre still inspire -- on their own terms. Go to Full Review

Roger G @RT27166809 Jan 6, 2025 Patrice, Gary, and their friends are exception people to deliver such an important message to people who wouldn't know the struggles that most disabled people struggle with. I've never been able to understand why the government restricts their rights to basic services, just for wanting to get married and/ or live together. This documentary is a poignant and artistic approach to such an i.portant topic. See more Dominique G @RT65997925 Dec 9, 2024 This film captured so much more than a love story. It captured the idea and power of love in romance, friendship and family. This woman is such a light of brought tears to my eyes. I’ve never been on the Rotten Tomatoes website before and so I just have to tell everyone to see it. See more Sally H @RT45733453 Nov 23, 2024 This wonderful and IMPORTANT documentary will break, enrage, and fill your heart. Have tissues at hand. See more Nico L @RT17458038 Oct 24, 2024 A heartfelt and surprisingly dramatic deep dive into the difficulties of getting married as a disabled couple. A problem I didn't know existed. Made me admire the strength and resolve of American citizens, and equally despise the American healthcare & legal system. Very moving and a real life depiction of how love conquers all See more Joe D @RT65985483 Oct 3, 2024 In a time when feel-good yet meaningful stories are often hard to come by, Patrice the Movie delivers in every way. It’s a heartwarming, thought-provoking film that leaves you uplifted and reminded of the resilience of the human spirit.
