Alison R @Aeress 5h Cliche upon cliche until you wanted to shoot the tv! Sweet old man, idealistic hero who vows to support him, by any means. And he’s a hearing " savant" his delicate hearing gets him in trouble. Oh, and, OF COURSE he ALSO has a photographic memory, AND, after MANY MANY YEARS of ignoring his genius piano skill, he can just sit at a piano and STILL play like an angel. I paid to watch this and therefore MADE myself watch to the end, which is SO STUPID that my friend and I looked at each other and said WTF?? In the last 45 minutes we laughed out loud at how totally unbelievable this was! Shame on Dustin Hoffman for even playing in this— I guess he needed the money. There so many plot holes that I give up . We fast forwarded to the end we hated it so much. See more Ty R @RT22452709 Jun 7 This movie is absolutely fantastic. I was riveted from the moment it started. Woodall as the "tuner" brings a stellar performance to the screen which builds asbrheb tension in his character rises with risks he’s taking. Not to mention things spent months learning how to play the piano for the role and the hand movements are actually him. Without question the best film my wife an have seem this year. Oscar material for sound. All the actors are excellent. Hoffman as his mentor touchingly played as a master of his field in age related mental decline, with his wife as Leo’s moral compass.
