Johnathon W @Hoppynsc Aug 9, 2026 Fun Chuck Norris film that tries to tackle some more serious issues but never scales above a B action movie. Norris is solid as the lead, playing a committed veteran trying to find his missing comrades, even if it ruffles some feathers. He gets some solid support from the rest of the cast, especially the great James Hong as General Tran, a villain so good you can't wait for Norris to kill him. Behind the camera, director Joseph Zito keeps the movie pretty tight under two hours along with some iconic action shots (the image of Chuck Norris emerging from the river firing the M60 is an all time classic). However, the more serious story of Vietnam POW's with the action doesn't always mix so well, and feels forced at times. Overall, fun watch and one of Norris's better films. See more Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life Mar 24, 2026 This movie starts with a dream sequence which was over the top and just bad. A movie like this should be 90 minutes. This trilogy is trying to be the rambo franchise and boy it misfired. Chuck Norris himself couldn't move this into a positive review. At times I was bored and I found myself not interested at all. Emmet Walsh, James Hong, Ernie Ortega, Lenore Kasdorf, and the rest of the cast did a pretty good job in this movie. The plot of the movie was action-packed, dramatic, and adventurous. It's about rescuing Vietnam POWs years after the war. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you might like it. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but it wasn't terrible.
