Intriguing and heartfelt, with sinister elements, the show highlights the importance of sisterhood, the confounding nature of first love and why secrets can never really be vanquished. Go to Full Review

With cute teens at a magical academy involved in a secret otherworldly battle between supernatural creatures, this series has a gender-flipped Harry Potter-esque appeal. Go to Full Review

Though there are moments during the first few episodes of Coven Academy that felt a bit stiff or featured CGI that felt unfinished, the quick pace of the episodes and the chemistry among the leads keeps things fun and interesting. Go to Full Review

The fast-paced nature of the series was a lot of fun, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. [...] It feels like a return to the days of The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle. Hopefully this is ushering in a new era of the witchy teen drama! Go to Full Review

Sam H @Sam431 19 hrs ago If The Secret Circle is 4.5 stars (and it is) then Coven Academy gets 3. Pros: Coven Academy has an attractive cast from Malichi "Mocha latte" Barton to Tiffani Thiesson. The show has beautiful set pieces thanks to one or some great set designer(s). Cons: the show has awful pacing. And because of that, It feels like you’re watching a copy of a teen supernatural show rather than it’s own show. When you watch these mini episodes it seems like the writers were forced to speed up the bonds and the drama which make the connections and tension feel unearned and artificial. Some episodes make you feel like you skipped a 40 minute episode. Others make feel like they cut out the middle. Overall I enjoyed it, but if it was a full show I could have enjoyed it so much more. See more Kuno T @RT54321018 1 day ago The episode distribution is so bad, it could have been done in 10ep. This whole series felt like a fanfic made in short form video. Giving it 1 star because the premise was so intriguing, but it just felt off the more it went on. See more Samuel G @RT40782160 1 day ago Best Fantasy Series Ever! See more Joseph M @Jmab7606 1 day ago Absolutely delightful! The characters are complex not one surface stereotype and if you think they are then you aren’t paying attention. Some people are whining about being dropped into the world without a lot of build up but those same people would whine if they spent any time building that the pacing was too slow. Some people lost the magic in their lives and no longer recognize it when they see it. Sad for them. This show is magical and intriguing and has a unique pacing and episodic structure that actively trying to connect with modern audiences. They are short episodes so if you have a micro attention span you can watch one at a time and scroll onward. If you’re a binge watcher you can just keep it rolling. If you like actual season arcs like The Good old days then it has that too! There’s actors from/for Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen Z. The spells and effects and props and set design are so cool and immersive. See more m J @abcnsms 1 day ago so fast paced and over cringe it hurts to watch. Honestly reusing so many tropes and moments and the whole plot twist thing was so easily guessed See more Stuart S @stuks 2 days ago Surprisingly good show. I am thoroughly enjoying it.
