Jerod S @jeroduptown Mar 25, 2022 The only slaughtered here was the plot. Girl on the run ends up with a predator roommate out on a farm where her prey is fed to the pigs. The ending was laughable - allowing the villain to pull the trigger on them all. See more Apr 28, 2019 Boring till the end then cliche, predictable and beyond the suspension of disbelief. Faith starts to display the qualities of female Heroine that will do whatever it takes to survive and maybe beyond. By the end of the movie she becomes a character that is hard to root for to come out on top. Lola can garrotte a man with a piece of rope in seconds, what is she on pig adrenaline. Instead of locking Lola up in the room or at least trying to incapacitate,Faith tries to lead her out at gun point. Which leads to the worst choreographed and acted action scene I think I have seen ever. Faith does all that fighting to just lay there die how anticlimactic. My recommendation if you are watching this as part of the after dark collection skip. At least Autopsy has much better hopeful heroine who is not so stupid and weak minded that she has no chance surviving. Although the woman from autopsy doesn't face anyone injecting themselves with pig adrenaline she is a much easier character to root for. See more Sep 24, 2013 typical of course....doesn't make a whole lot of sense...you betcha....but if you do not have to pay for this and you get it on NETFLIX...than it is worth the watch. It was very disappointing. See more Jun 28, 2013 From The 8 Films To Die For Collection. This is a really solid entry in the after dark library inspired by a true story. The film centers on a young woman running from her abusive past and settles down with a new girl she meets on her family farm. But suspicious events begin to take place and disturbing family secrets are revealed culminating to a truly nightmarish outcome. Slaughter feels a little lifetime movieish at times but it really does excel the standard clichés of its storyline. The film feels intimate almost to the point that I'm not sure that I'd wanna meet Stewart Hopewell. It rides the same line of suspense as the strangers but delivering a little more bang for your buck. It's slightly slow moving but suspenseful and the performances are believable. It really is a little gem more of a psychological thriller than a straight out horror film the film will surely leave you creeped out when it's far over. 3 1/2 Stars 6-24-13 See more Read all reviews
