Rise B @Wretched722 Jun 7, 2026 I found this movie to be quite rewarding. It certainly brought attention to the most gorgeous gardens at Versailles, and was fun to see the period costumes. Especially when they take off those ridiculous wigs!!! To waste WInslet's considerable talents on something so boring is unforgivable. For me a beautiful film. See more venetia a @RT74068658 Oct 23, 2021 This moving is engaging and delightful. I've watched it at least five times and enjoyed it each time. I love a good romantic time period piece, and, of course, Kate Winslet always delights. It might be a little slow for some, but if you like these kind of movies, the pace won't bother you. Our heroines affair could be problematic without the understanding of her lovers prior marital arrangement. So for that reason, and for this time period it's set in, her love story is acceptable.
