"Amores Perros" is a bold, intensely emotional, and ambitious story of lives that collide in a Mexico City car crash. Inventively structured as a triptych of overlapping and intersecting narratives, "Amores Perros" explores the lives of disparate characters who are catapulted into unforeseen dramatic situations instigated by the seemingly inconsequential destiny of a dog named Cofi.

Critics Consensus

The brutality of Amores Perros may be difficult to watch at times, but this intense, gritty film packs a hard wallop.

…the three interconnected stories in Amores Perros move forwards and backwards in time from an event which isn’t entirely clear until the end of the film, a narrative sleight of hand which made this a must-see movie at the turn of the millennium.

Swings for the rafters with mercurial tempos, ragged eruptions and a deracinated palette, as if the film stock had been dragged in dust. Fluorescence and a flat, featureless everyday light predominate. All is chaos, all is commonplace.

"Amores Perros" is study of humanity parenting told with a tremendous complexity and depth, a galvanic force that sends the mind reeling. So thrilled to see on the big screen remaster in 35mm for the 25th Anniversary.

Gritty, unique, miserable. Love how all of the stories tie together.

Really liked this movie. I love the way all 3 or 4 stories following POV of different people connect to make a shocking amazing action packed film. I can say this movie is Heavy, Intense, and Shocking but definitely worth your 2 30 minutes of attention. I am Mexican and love to see a movie was filmmed were I basically walk everyday. If you can REALLY recommend watching

Deleite total.
