By this point, the series had long since drifted away from everything that made the original films memorable. The charm, the family dynamic, and the heart have all been replaced with another forgettable direct-to-video adventure that exists largely because the name Beethoven is still attached. There are a few harmless moments for younger viewers, but the weak performances, predictable mystery, and uninspired humor make it difficult to recommend.
