Alan G @AlanG469 5 days ago I love this film. While it's not perfect, I will say it is probably Bogart's best performance behind Maltese and Casablanca. See more Scott M @RT75128960 May 17, 2026 Enjoyable story about a navy ship commanded by a sick captain wonderfully portrayed by Bogart. Well told and a lot of good actors. See more Deepika V @deepikav12 Nov 26, 2025 One of my favorite movies-- the acting, the cinematograhy, and the ending speech by Jose Ferrer was Oscar worthy. A great movie to rewatch. See more Alec B @Alec97 May 5, 2025 The movie is clearly the product of some compromises and producer meddling to sand the rougher edges off the source material but its still worth seeing. Bogart is legitimately great here, one of his best performances.
