Critics Consensus

Layering modern anxieties about technology onto a nightmarish outbreak, Colony lacks the vivid characterizations that distinguish director Yeon Sang-ho's best work but mostly reaffirms his mastery over zombie mayhem.

It isn’t quite Train to Busan when it comes to telling a totally satisfactory story but, underwritten script aside, Colony is still an infectious treat.
