Jan 31, 2017 Easily one of the better action thrillers to come out of the Bollywood stable in recent times. Also, amazing music! See more Jun 27, 2016 89% Watched this on 27/6/15 A highly tense, gripping action film quite similar to Madras Cafe, but not as realistic. D-Day is fast paced, efficiently directed and on the whole full of performances. It has much more intelligence than what you could expect from a Bollywood film and its rather refreshing to see Irrfan Khan and Arjun Rampal do action. The film is no so engaging in its first half, but once it reaches the midway, its nothing short of high tension. The film may tend to droop at times, but Nikhil Advani erects it back with effective use of technical and directorial skills. There are some scenes of terrific beauty in this film, such as a professional killer seeing the death of his girlfriend as he walks through her blood-laden apartment. Irrfan is consistently impressive and Arjun is intense. A good watch. See more Mar 28, 2014 A bold story and well treated. Karachi backdrop is quite novel for Bollywood and is beautifully utilized. The story drags somewhat needlessly in the second half but good acting by the leads carry the movie. See more Jan 17, 2014 Great story. Nikhil Advani really proves his capability to make diverse movies, as this is as far away from Kal Ho Na Ho as you can possibly get. Irfan Khan is definitely one of the best actors in the industry and he is complemented well by Arjun Rampal. Rishi Kapoor, though, wasn't menacing enough to be classified as a true villain.
