Whenever the quaint, binary idea of a scrappy counterculture vs. The Man overshadows the personalities, craft, and musical context, the movie's an Adbusters bore. Go to Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety Jul 6, 2010
Eileen Yaghoobian's documentary presents a lot of good art and entertaining personalities in a package that's diverting on a moment-to-moment basis, but lacks any organizing principal or precise point to make the whole cohere. Go to Full Review Mark Fagan Austin Chronicle Nov 30, 2009
Are these cultural artifacts or just more trash littering the light posts and bulletin boards of your city? That all depends on the eye of the beholder. Go to Full Review John Griffin Montreal Gazette May 24, 2013

Eileen Yaghoobian's fabulous debut doc is an inclusive look at the renaissance of poster art in the wake of punk and the rebirth of a defiant counterculture. Go to Full Review Philip French Observer (UK) May 24, 2013
This is a mildly interesting documentary that takes at face value the claims made for their art by the naive nihilists who design jagged, violent and often obscene posters for local rock groups across North America. Go to Full Review Chris Faraone Boston Phoenix Jul 6, 2010

May 29, 2013 Some of the poster artists in this documentary have been heros of mine since I was 16, yet I knew virtually nothing about them. So grateful that this film uncovers the talents behind the work that brings music, art, and pop culture together. See more May 28, 2013 I love this movie. If you'd like to make a journey into perhaps the last living underground subculture in the US, this is the film for you. Full of art, character and unexpected revelations. See more May 28, 2013 The documentary weaves an enchanting story filled with intriguing characters. We are exposed to a unique behind-the-scenes view of this magical world, from the creators to the creations, and everything in between. Amazing artwork and a great soundtrack! See more Apr 13, 2013 It was great to see the artwork, but confusing, and hard to follow... See more Mar 14, 2010 Ok if you like watching a lot of disagreeable people talk about a lot of very good posters. See more Mar 7, 2010 Even for something about such a small subculture, I hoped for more. Some of the posters looked cool, and some of the artists said some interesting things. Overall, though, it seemed pretty directionless; like they were just scrambling for anything to put in there. There was probably about 30 minutes of real information in the 95 minutes of film.
