A strange, unwieldy slice of arthouse horror that’s heightened by Benjamin Finkel’s knack for viscerally disturbing horror and imagery. Go to Full Review

...you can expect to (once again!) be blown away by Ruth Wilson in FAMILY. That woman is such an impressive actor, and her talent always makes her characters leap out from the screen for me. This was the case in... Go to Full Review

Not everything needs to be a horror story, and in the case of this movie, the truth of some stories is frightening and unsettling enough on its own. Go to Full Review

Fulvio S @RT09776057 7 hrs ago It had some parts where i was like "okay this could actually be great", but then it went nowhere. In the end it just felt like a lot of random stuff thrown together. Great performance from the two women though. See more Nnea O @RT00673466 2 days ago This was one of the worst horror movies I've seen in the last decade. Literally nothing is built to make you care about these characters. The movie title and the anticipatory grief theme alone make it more obvious this is a terrible ripoff but Finkel had to make it known where he got his inspiration for this trash. The hereditary scene ripoffs are the highlight but they all fall completely flat. 3 moments: 1. The "Possessed" mother on the wall 2. The "dark item" thrown into a fire. 3. Possession after the dark item is thrown into the fire. The possession scene lead nowhere and the jump scares are mirages that disappear after 4 seconds. I finished this and was surprised this was considered horror. Nothing about it was scary. Ari Aster should sue this hack Benjamin Finkel. Terrible movies like this insult the horror genre. Whether its remakes, rehashes, or terrible copies; these movies only line the pockets of producers willing to fund derivative trash like this for their egos. See more dave E @caseyeisenman 4 days ago This was a terrible, mindless, ignorant movie folks. Why can't they make great movies like the exorcist, emily rose, etc. I watched the first 30 minutes and then had to FF to get through this garbage. The lack of a singular objective logic makes the story all the creepier. Good jump scares and stuff. But the part that will haunt you is the grounded portrayal of living inside a nightmare.
