Robert P @Superbad 3 days ago Happiest Season is a gay film and I am gay so I give this a *4* star Movie! See more Amy T @AmyTh173 Sep 13, 2026 This is a movie about Harper (Mackenzie Davis) and Abby (Kristen Stewart) whose loving relationship is tested when they both go to Harper's family home for Christmas. Abby wants to marry Harper and ask her father for her hand in marriage. Harper hasn't come out to her family because she's afraid they won't accept her. Abby has to pretend to be straight to be with Harper and her family for the holidays. Hijinks ensue. I've never seen a movie like this before. I know some said it was derivative and unoriginal. I guess I don't watch enough movies. It was very good. The cast was excellent, and the acting was great. I will probably watch it every Christmas. So, a new tradition has been formed. I highly recommend it. Enjoy! See more Delightfully Joyful T @RT91568203 Aug 28, 2026 A centralist film that's first funny joke is at the 49 minute mark. I originally liked this film for Kristen Stewart but remembered not liking the girlfriend but on a rewatch I'm surprised I couldn't remember how bad it was. It's really not funny, friend character is a straw man for liberals that you're not meant to take serious, Harper the love interest is emotionally manipulative, withholding, abuses and takes advantage of Abby's (Kristen) love & her trauma with family. I'm constantly thinking Abby can do better & settling with Harper, plus her family are traditionalists and Abby has to listen to take it and it's never really dealt with or acknowledged as a major problem. There is only so much goodwill Harpers character deserves & it's not enough that Abby shouldn't have left her at the first act or for Riley. In another queer piece of media Harper would be the red flag character. This movie only gets likes cause its queer, if you want a good one watch But I'm A Cheerleader See more Alex D @whosaalex Jun 8, 2026 This movie has no flaws. The way it tells you the story and shows you the how difficult it can be to come out when you’re afraid of losing your own family is very well written, and the acting is great.
