The plot is so random and skipping around to different characters that just aren't needed at all. The Disney sanitizer has definitely been used on the character of witches, which incidentally, is what this movie is supposed to be about. If they aren't evil, the first movie had no point. I think they were just writing to check off all the political boxes and rush this steaming pile onto the little screen. There just aren't enough good Halloween movies to allow our classics to be blundered in sequels and remakes. See more Mary S @Spookykook 2 days ago What in sam hill where y'all thinking?? First you waited too long to make this, too old and you completely lost sight of what made the first movie so wonderful! Cast was not good, overacting, had to push agendas in there that didn't need to be and overall bad. You had a chance to make this great but you're totally wrecked it. The kids that played in this in my opinion we're not good, just okay. How did the witches know to sing the current song? Misunderstood?? They were evil lol!! How did they come back when it was a black candle from a souvenir shop, not the original candle, as the original was burned down in part 1? How did they come back when they were destroyed by the sun in the original? Not much makes sense. The young witches are a fun touch. The 3rd is going to be tremendous I hope. Bette Midler and sarah Jessica Parker still have the sparkle of the first. Especially the kids are bad. Story is dumb, makes no sense. How the hell do the witches know the modern songs? And practical effects beat CGI any day.
