It's So Easy plays like a public Alcoholics Anonymous meeting with McKagan at the mic apologizing for his misdeeds. Go to Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com Jun 3, 2016

Duff McKagan is talented, smart and nice. ... His story deserves a better movie. Go to Full Review Alex McLevy AV Club Jun 1, 2016

The entire thing is basically an hour and a half advertisement for the written version, done as a sort of live audiobook of excerpts from his story-and it's exactly as appealing as that description sounds. Go to Full Review Dominic Griffin Spectrum Culture Jul 17, 2019

The film has more in common with a Tim & Eric infomercial parody than anything Penelope Spheeris ever made. Go to Full Review Edward Douglas Film Journal International Jun 2, 2016

See more Jan 5, 2017 Thought it was okay. Duff is an interesting guy, I thought a movie about him should have been better told. See more Nov 28, 2016 Definitely more for the Guns N Roses fans out there, but I did really like the view into how important early punk was to the development of the band. See more Nov 20, 2016 Read the amazing book instead. See more Nov 11, 2016 Duff comes through as equal parts flawed human being and highly likable rock n roll veteran. Unfortunately, this vanity doc skips over an enormous amount of grit and dirt and goes right into a rote recovery story with a predictable happy ending. Happy for you, dude but this isn't very rock n roll or even passingly interesting.
