In this heartwarming romantic adventure, a timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic, Lady, an overachieving, pampered American Cocker Spaniel house dog and Tramp, a tough but lovable, fast-talking stray, embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home.

Critics Consensus

Lady and the Tramp's cute dogs and likable cast work well enough, but the live-action update lacks some of the magic that made the original 1955 film such a delight.

It's impossible to shake the sense that the film exists primarily to tick itself off the studio's own to-do list.

It's less a faithful translation of an animated classic than a nostalgic throwback to the era of Babe and Homeward Bound.

This Tramp doesn't really stamp a fresh personality on a story already told well. But it also doesn't embarrass itself compared to the original and it's got a shaggy charm of its own.

...this film's reputation hinges largely on the animation, the designs for the dogs are the problem; neither Lady or the Tramp look as good as their animated selves, and musical elements are inconsistent compared to Lion King or Aladdin’s full scores...

Live action movie Lady and the Tramp (2019) is a successful retelling of Disney's classic story and an affectionate tale about growing up.

Relatable really is the theme of the whole movie with old Trusty (Sam Elliot)...and Jim Dear and Darling having to deal with judgey relatives...Between that and the goodness that is dogs, Lady and the Tramp (2019) makes for a fun family watch.

Very good. About high time Disney made a real life / CGI hybrid of this timeless classic. It works very well, thanks to the combination of Charlie Bean's directing, very capable cast and excellent cinematography. All of the charm and then some ... Still heartwarming, irony filled, inspiring and food for thought storytelling as per original. Good entertainment to old and young. Captivating and epic

This movie to me was very disappointing. I couldnt even watch half of it. They changed jock to a female, they made the mother black (im not racist), but overall they didnt even follow the storyline correctly. Typical for Disney to ruin remakes

It looks good, and pretty good, in the live-action way.
